Re: Daily Reporting for 20 April
Guh - another bad weekend (+Monday) of eating too many sugary foods. Stress and lots of work definitely impact my ability to focus on staying healthy. Will get back on track tomorrow.
Re: Daily Reporting for 13th April
Day 13: Back on track after Days 10-12 being pure disasters. It's hard to avoid sugar during Easter in NYC. I just had to try the Magnolia cupcakes. I just had to get hot chocolate every day, because it was sooooo cold. It made my tummy hurt. I'm feeling better now. My body hates sugar.
Re: Daily reporting for 9th April
Day 9: Stressful day! Broke down and had a Smart Ones Cookie Dough Sundae. Better than a 1000 calorie dessert, I suppose. This weekend will be hard too... Off to NYC!
Re: Daily Reporting for 7th April
Day 7: I had a stressful day. When I get stressed, I want to eat sweets (I know, not healthy). I resisted throughout the day and then had one piece of Dove dark chocolate after dinner. I would still consider this a success.
Re: April 6th daily reporting
Day 6: Stayed away from sugar almost completely. Had a "Choco" hot chocolate at work, but it doesn't have a whole lot of sugar. It keeps me happy in the morning. Dinner was a fun-filled salad with spinach, peas, avocado, carots, peppers, pine nuts, baby bellas and a light balsamic vinaigrette. I followed this with a small cup of Kefir mixed with a little bit of granola. I'm feeling so much better. Figures - good food makes you feel better...
Re: Daily reporting for 5th April
Day 5: I brought a small granola bar to the movie theater while my daughter had a box of chocolate cookie dough bits. I wasn't even tempted! I also had a frozen soy bar at 9 grams of sugar. Feeling great!
Re: Daily Reporting for 4th April
Day 4: My husband and I go to Caribou Coffee every Saturday to work/read/surf the net. I usually get a hot cocoa (oh so good!). Today, I decided to have a soy chai latte. I discovered later on their site that the sugar content varies only by two grams, but it's still a better choice, because the hot cocoa has a lot more bad fat. Feeling great!
Re: Daily Reporting for 3rd April
Day 3: Most sugary thing I ate was a soy icecream bar at 9 grams. I think anything under 10 grams per serving is pretty OK... I had a good test too: My husband decided to stop by Kopp's for frozen custard on the way home from Blockbuster. I stood firm. Feeling great!
Re: Daily Reporting for 2nd April
Day 2 (it really helps with the days when you start on the 1st of the month): No sweets aside from the little mint in the restaurant lobby after dinner. I'm having less cravings already. Life is good!
Re: 1st April Daily reporting for
Day 1: No sweets! Got really close, but had a packet of instant oatmeal and got over it. Yay!
