Daily reporting for Feb 1 2010
@ agresik- great to see your update !! what a transition. I'm impressed welcome back and good luck during february.
MITs 3/3
Activity 30 min gym
Technical skills- yes
For february's habit I'm going to start adding focus days to my habits. I like the idea of doing small amounts daily because it keeps my momentum going but sometimes I think I need to do a bit more. I'm not at the point where I can increase the time I spend on each habit every day so the plan is to have focus days where for that day I spend more time on the habit. For Feb I'm going to have Tu/Th be focus days for my activity habit and aim for 50 minutes activity those days. In March I'll start some focus days for the technical skills habit.
Have a great day all. Congrats on finishing January and best of luck through February.
No progress today on either habit -- I was traveling today. I did keep my luggage very organized though -- really thought about the minimum amount of stuff to take and carry for me and two kids...and did a good job having the right amount of stuff...
Had trouble getting out of bed but I followed the routine I specified.
I need to revise the trigger to be hygiene rather than shower as it is cold in Texas in the morning now and so I usually turn on the heat just before showering but I don't want the heat on while meditating.
And so, I meditate first, then shower, eat, work.
Meditation was just a bit shorter due to waking just a bit late.
I'll keep at it.

Day 1 of 28
Hi all...I am ready for a fresh start this month, although this evening threw me for loop.
I ended up on the phone for 2 hours with a very old friend. Needless to say day 1 didn't
find me starting very well!
>>> Paper declutter - doing very well :)
>>> Email declutter - still under 2 pages!
<<< New habit - I will be working on this today
Have a great day!
agresik - interesting concept of focus days. My habit of working in 4 1 hour spurts is sort of like that because I can vary what I work on during that time. Sometimes it helps me focus on an important project and sometimes it helps limit the time I spend on things I ought to limit my time on (like reading blogs which I could do all day).
paulamidtown - I keep my zen activities on a note in outlook and check periodically to see how I am doing - and what I forgot. Then I cut and paste (ctrl+C ctrl+V)
Sometimes I think about adding some habits but I have enough trouble doing these every day
