Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm trying to find a succinct phrase for the new habit.  I want to clear the decks before I go to sleep. I don't want to wake up to messes I could have taken care of the previous day.  I don't want to see dishes in the sink, mail on my desk, etc.

I need to find work after being home for more than a year.  I've enjoyed a leisurely time, doing things when I get around to them, after decades of tight scheduling.  Now I need to get up and, mentally, be job ready and focused.  The current job market is intimidating and I don't want to start my day - and my search - feeling bogged down.

Bythesea . . . sounds like what most folks in here are calling "de-clutter" - maybe that would work? Or how about just "clear the decks" as you've said?!

It IS nice to wake up to a cleaned up house, isn't it?

Good luck!
