Daily Reporting for 20th January
Daily reading task completed. I note that the number of daily reports is get less and less as the month progresses.
Good morning! Alarm rang at 3h55, and I got out of bed just fine. I hope the day brings you what you want and need.
day 16, did my prayers and woke up at 06:30. Wonderful. As a side effect I am more present in what I do.
Good luck to you all,
i
Woke up at 5:15AM and had all the time in the world for my exercise and morning visualization. :) Visualization took exactly 20 minutes and gave me better insight and motivation for the upcoming day. I am looking forward to the next one.
Doh! abysmal failure today, stayed up late and payed for it this morning, got up an hour latter than Target time. going to have to work harder at getting to bed on time!
Day 2: 15 min exercise after shower this morning. Good trigger. No trigger for evening exercise so will choose, brushing teeth.
After morning exercise I immediately become more body-conscious and am loathe to eat poorly.
good luck everyone!
Day 20
(i)
got up @ 6:45 - great!
(ii)
did a 15 minute mindfulness meditation. OK.
(iii)
did a 25 minute Chinese vocab review, 10 mins more than planned. Super!
Was awake & up by 05:15 - good strong workout at the gym
well its after 10pm now so better make it short so I can get up tomorrow
Okay, 2nd day of habit change. Morning routine well executed. Still some time struggles, e.g. worked far too long on my blog post this morning and consequently shortened time on goal connection and tasks for the day review. Missed again drinking my water while writing. Needs some more improvements, but overall pretty satisfied. I am getting there.
day 12. Got up, reviewed, edited and printed my schedule. Yup I noticed the same thing, less and less people every day! But the strong continue on!
did my execise today and i do add a little bit of dance execise.
Just got back from my first 20 minute walk/run. I have been very lazy about posting, but I have been consistent in my workouts. I'm up to 4 days a week of walking/running, 2 days of body weight upper body work, and 2 days of dead lifts.
The dead lift, if you have no back or knee issues preventing you, is the best single exercise you can do. It strengthens the entire body, concentrating on the those muscles required most for doing real work. (I'm an innovation director for a marketing company--that ain't "real work.")
If you decide to take on dead lifts, make sure you understand the proper technique. There are many little details to bear in mind. Here's a good video to learn the move. Practice the move with very light weight for 2 or 3 sessions before loading the bar to ensure the move is automotic.
Hi everybody
I last posted on 7th January. Fell ill from that day. A bad bout of asthma which required extended medication.
Started running again today. Got up at 6.30 a.m. Did my pranayama and then went for a run - 3.2 km in 19: 36. Came back and made my journal entry.
So a fresh start again. I still hope I can take part in the 5 K run on 24th.
Day 11: Emailed John.
I really should email other people besides John and Minh lately.
Victim of a burglary yesterday. Done my meditation today anyway....not really good focus.
At least my flat is more zen now!
Day 19. My day was planned out and email checked by 9:20 AM.
Today, I am at a quandary as to do something at home that takes a ton of concentration at the would otherwise be hard to do at work. It has been months since I took anything from work home other than my diversion on Sunday to do something work related at home. Well, I'm giving it 45 minutes... From there I'll see how it goes, but I have enough things to do at home.
bye..
