Daily Reporting for 19th January
Reading task completed. Today I wanted to do more reading than what I set aside for myself. That would throw a lot of things out, Monday being a busy day and all. It certainly is a discipline to create the habit but discipline is still required to put a limit on things too.
Good morning. Mondays used to be a day for waking up late and dragging myself outof bed. Feels nice to wake uo 4am as planned and feel like I can deal with whatever challenge the day throws at me.
Well this week i'm getting up at 5:30... (last week was 6:00) doing well so far! lol But as last week proved, I'm gonna have to get disiplined about going to bed on time. Anyway..... on with the day, I'll see you all in the morning :-D
Hello,
Day 19 of my attempt to write every single day for at least 10 minutes. So far so good. About half the time I end of writing far more than 10 minutes but have put pen to paper or switch on the word processor for at least 10 minutes every single day. Currently reading Natalie Goldberg's book "Writing Down The Bones" while I do this. I find the book both practical and inspirational. Have let all my close friends know what I'm doing and about half of them will ask me, on every contact or communication with me, "Did you do your Writing Today?" This is very helpful. Well I have to go so everybody keep up the challenge and Good luck!
Michael
Back from archery, I started my habbit this morning without any problems.
Boxes are emptied, now the rest of the piles will be organized.
Day 1 Exercise 10 min Trigger: Exercise after showerCompleted in 10 min. 20 sun salutations, 15 body squats, 15 full body press-up, 15 half-body pressup, plank 40 sec.
I feel good. Read quote: Ben Franklin: "Does thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is what life is made of"
Day, 15th, did my prayers. woke up at 07:30.
Good luck to you all,
i
19th day, missed only once so far, my visualizations took about 20 minutes last two days, my focus is on high level goals & life purpose. I can see now that there is no point in limiting myself to 10 minutes only for two reasons mainly. On subconscious level I feel the time restraint which is completely unnecessary and 10 minutes is just not enough anyway - it takes me a few minutes to tune in and focus. One way or the other it has been useful to start on 10 minutes to strengthen the daily habit during those weeks behind me. From now on I will let the things flow more naturally and keep my visualizations open-ended, using intuition for the best results.
Wish you all best of luck, have fun with your habits! :)
Good see everyone here still .......
Alarm is set for 05:15am - woke up even before that - nice! my body clock is definitely seeing this as normal - needed that extra sleep yesterday.
Good bodyweight workout & then nice slow start to the day - a good thing considering what work threw at me today.
Although the year has clearly started, this is my first day with my new year's challenge. My new morning ritual worked out quiet well. Got up as early 5.45 am, managed to go to the gym, read my RSS feeds, write a blog post and prepare they day. Timing is a challenge since my work kicks of latest by 9.30 am - but still, it seems to work with some flexibility. The challenge is not about sticking to my timing, but cover my morning ritual elements.
What I need to do better tomorrow is drinking my 1l of water while writing my blog post and find the right way to connect to my larger goals for 10 minutes. The latter is somewhat difficult.
Other than that, the first day was good, but the challenges are yet to come with the next days and weeks, I reckon.
Cheers,
Sven
Day 9 of 5AM. A great night sleep. Feeling very refreshed from some good rest this weekend.
Need a shower to wake up a little more. I can't wait for day 30 and habit number 2.
Day 11. Got up, reviewed, created and printed schedule. Quite ready to take on a new day.
Good Morning All:
Day 20: Completed 30 minute daily meditation. I'm feeling more and more centered and connected.
Happy Monday!

Up at 6:30 am as soon as the alarm went off. Did some email. I want to get back to the novel but I need to get over my aversion to sitting with the block.
Meditation done - clear mind today, really good session today after returning to the basic (focus on breathing with the help of counting at the beginning)...much better than the previous days where I was less focus. I also start to leave the eyes open.
Yesterday I didn't paint, but I cleared some internal space by dealing with an ongoing emotional problem with the help of a friend and my husband.
Also visited my Mom and a sick friend.
Didn't waste the day and feel ready to work again.
Day 6. Got up and touched my toes a few times, then when back to bed and set my alarm for a couple of minutes later to practice doing it again (sort of to make up for falling off the horse this weekend). I did that for a couple of times and now, here I am :)
Ronn01 – Day 19 of recording my dreams and thoughts upon waking. I had a good dream with all its bizarre happenings. My thoughts were about dreams themselves and how amazing they are. Many years ago I took a college course on dreams, because dreams were a component of some psychoanalytical processes, which lead to an understanding of the person and their troubles (I really just wanted to understand how I functioned as a human being). We were required to keep a “dream journal” as a part of the class. I think that experience was the impetus to revisit recording my dreams.
Did yoga today ('deep guided meditation' playing on youtube.) Since starting the challenge, i have missed it three times. Arghh..
Determined to continue the streak till end of month.
Good day everyone.
