Bounced out of bed at 4am when the alarm rang. Had enough energy to do 20 minutes of callanetics.

I'm not a regular exerciser, and tend to go for walks when time allows. So having time and energy to use my early rising habit to take care of my health is an excellent development.

Got up at 6.30 ( usual time). Did my pranayama for 25 minutes. This being a no-run day, did yoga listening to an audia CD for 50 minutes. Then journaled for 15 minutes.

Good start for the day. It also means that the score is 6 out of 8.

Man, I like to think of myself as energized and healthy but you 4 and 5am people are just incredible! Anyway .. met my goal again today (writing before email) - again was very forced but thrilled to have pumped out another article for bodyincredible.com! One point - all this writing is getting in the way of my emailing and I'm falling behind! :-)

Jan 6, 2009 (Day 5)- Today I woke up at 6:30 - 30 minutes before the alarm - but I stayed in bed because I wanted to stick to the original schedule. I will b waking up at 7:00am for this whole week and I will see where to go from there- next week. I feel really good when I wake up early, I don't need to rush, I can relax before school starts, and I am noticing that my mood is changing - I become more relaxed and happier. Thanks for readi

Forgot to update my daily reporting yesterday but still did my 10mins of drawing, and it's 3.45pm and I am finished drawing again. I realised I should do my drawing at a regular time so I am going to do it in the morning.

From the very morning i've studied another ruby topic. Now i can process CSV files and gained better closure understanding. It's really cool to shape your habit right at the begining :)

Have a nice day :)

I didn't get my treadmill work in or my push-ups, but I did shovel snow off the roof of my house for about 2 hours. Let me tell you, that was a workout!

Hi everybody, hope you have fun with your challenges and I wish you a fantastic day. :)

Day six for me. I had to get up at 5AM again to be able to exercise, meditate and do my challenge visualization. So far it is ok, my visualization was quite detail focused on a few particular project things and it seems to work better than focusing on high level concepts. Power of less indeed. I believe that my visualization will help me accomplish much more today. :)

Day 6

(i)
got up 30 minutes earlier (not @ 7:15, but @ 6:40) - great!

(ii)
did a 10-15 minute mindfulness meditation - quite OK, too many plans and thoughts

(iii)
did a 15-20 minute Chinese vocab review - YES.

I am happy with my success so far.

Have been thinking about my finances and spent £0 yesterday on my first day back to work after being off on maternity leave for 9 months - yay!

Hoping to keep the saving or should I say non-spending going!

Have a nice day peeps!

6th January - trigger worked, walked an extra KM and ate a healthy breakfast. I seem to have more energy to get things done before i head to work if i have done my walk for the day.

Need to find a way to incorporate this into the routine on non-normal days which is atleast 3 times a week usually

Score is 7/9

Go to bed late (due to a surprising light-off problem) and bad sleep, difficult to focus this morning during the meditation...it took me long to be into it - but it was ok in the end.

Things were a little more difficult this morning. Hannah (my ten month old daughter) had a rough night. Meditation was not the best. Reading task was completed but I now cannot remember what I read.
