Day 4: I slept at 4am and woke up at 12pm.Though I got my 7hrs (actually 8 hrs) sleep, I really need to improve on getting the times regular - sleeping at 11pm and waking up at 7am.
Daily Reporting for 4th January
Hi bluechalkbag - good luck with this!
Don't forget to look for todays date though, under 'New Years Challenge Daily Reporting', as there is already a thread going for today. Look forward to following your progress tomorrow! Sue
PLEASE DONT POST TO THIS THREAD anyone - post to the other thread with the same name. GOOD LUCK ALL!
Sorry I didn't realise as I couldn't find it earlier - thanks!
Challenge is 10 mins of poetry writing a day.
Tried long hand poetry this morning instead of sitting at the computer where there are potentially distractions. So I sat in my favorite antique rocking chair in the family room, near the sweet smelling Christmas tree which I have to take down later today and composed a new poem entitled Bound while writing in my favorite soft-leather notebook.
I bought this notebook off a local artist back in July of '08 and it was so beautifully bound that I didn't want to write in it...then I finally came to realize what a waste that was and how disrespectful that was to the original artist...so...now it is my notebook for long-hand poetry.
Warm Regards,
Charlie
Did my 10 this morning, right after brushing all of my teeth (not just the grubby ones). It feels great to see the piles disappearing and space opening up in my life. I hope to not only be clutter free, but a "Power of Less" focused life too.
Steady as she goes, cap'n!

Did my 10 and then some. I'm not getting appreciably better at this guitar thing, but my fingers hurt when I type, so I know I'm building up the necessary callouses at least!
I got my meditation in again. Hot damn, I am on a roll.
I did my meditation again. 4 days running now! Yay.
The challenge is no more then 45 minutes of web surfing per day. Met the challenge with 42 minutes today. Close ...
Day 4: Dove into a shopping bag filled with articles, recipes, non-bill mail, etc. Found homes for what I need to keep and threw away the rest.
Planning is done for tomorrow.
Guess next month will have to focus on *following* the plan. <sigh> Adjusting to a new schedule can be tough. Guess I'll focus on my Dad's favorite saying: A little bit of something is better than a whole lot of nothing. Here's to tomorrow!
Another day of no eating or drinking(alcohol) after 7pm. woot! way easier tonight than it was friday or saturday.
Listened with interest to a family member who doesn't always ring my bell. I only had a couple of drifts during this time. Perhaps I can begin to see her in a new light.
4 days straight. Nothing spectacular but I did draw for 30 minutes, as promised to myself.
10 minutes of meditation, as planned. It came more natural than before. (But it's also the last day I didn't have to rush to work.)
Day 7: Eating pasta for lunch led to really bad sugar-cravings in the evening. I reminded myself of my challenge and mantra and at least substituted sugar for cream cheese. I feel stronger after going through that.
