Thanks for posting, guys! I've added music and reading to the list so that others can vote for them when they sign up.

Wow, Exercising and Simplifying are the clear leaders - with less than 100 folks signed up on the first day. Looks to be an interesting year!

I'm going to listen to my biofeedback program every day.

My plan is that when I wake up in the morning, I will take a shower first thing. I usually wait until my kids have left for school, and then I'm rushing around and usually late for class myself. By taking my shower first, before the kids get up, I should be more ready for the day.

I've got a lot more things I'd like to do, but this is my first one. ;-)

I will get back on the exercise wagon that I fell off of 10 months ago. No time? I will MAKE time!

I will create art a minimum of 30 minutes a day.

Hi Leo, I picked other for learning a language, since this is reading _plus_ other things.
I don't know if you'll need to create a new category for that.

Anyway, thanks for your commitment and dedication to others.

Cheers

I couldn't find a category for this one. I am taking on an actionable suggestion from 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey) and be proactive. For the next 30 days (in January) I will take on opportunities however small to be proactive, taking initiative and learn to act on things within my circle of influence.

Hi,
I will be hugging my husband daily, to keep connected, and show my love and appreciation.

Cheers,

I am going to exercise AT LEAST 10 minutes a day--walking, to get my new hip moving again.

Motivation: Each morning 10 minutes reflecting on what is (or should) be motivating me. I'm betting some other "habits" will grow from this but I'm starting with this as my foundation.

You're gonna laugh -- brush my teeth before noon! I think a lot of busy stay-at-home moms might recognize the problem. You spend the morning putting out various fires and before you know it its lunchtime and you're lucky if you're dressed.

I see this as part one of a continued effort to pay more attention to my own needs.

I really wanted to pick a whole host of things, but I'm trying REALLY hard to keep it simple and make only one change... Eating healthy is critical to everything else for me.

It sure is difficult to pick just one thing, but I've really adopted what Leo has said about just starting with one habit. I'm amazed at the list of habits he has developed by adding them one by one.

Hope you can stick to eating healthy for 30 days. What will be your trigger to remind you to do that?

Welcome and good luck!
